Connecting a LinkedIn Profile/LinkedIn Company Page to Hearsay

You can connect your LinkedIn profile or a LinkedIn Company Page you own to Hearsay and publish approved content from your Hearsay Post Library library and get metrics based on your social success.

Connecting a LinkedIn Profile

  1. In Hearsay Desktop, click your profile picture in the upper right of the screen, then click Workspace Settings.
  2. On the Accounts tab, click Connect LinkedIn and log in with your LinkedIn credentials.
  3. Select the LinkedIn profile you want to connect and click Next
  4. Optional: If you’re using LinkedIn Premium and want to receive Social Signals, check the box for Receive Social Signals and Contact information for this profile.
  5. Click Finish.

There is a way to connect your LinkedIn account to your Twitter (X) account and publish content to both simultaneously; however, Hearsay does not support this feature. You must connect both accounts separately and post to each account when publishing a post.

Connecting LinkedIn Company Pages

If you are the owner of a LinkedIn Company Page that has yet to be connected to Hearsay (and this feature is enabled for your organization) you can connect your LinkedIn Company Page to Hearsay and publish content from your content library.

  1. In Hearsay Desktop, click your profile picture in the upper right of the screen, then click Workspace Settings.
  2. On the Accounts tab, click Connect LinkedIn and log in with your LinkedIn credentials.
  3. Select your LinkedIn company page you want to connect and click Next
  4. Optional: If you’re using LinkedIn Premium and want to receive Social Signals, check the box for Receive Social Signals and Contact information for this profile.
  5. Click Finish.

Note:

Disconnected LinkedIn accounts that have been in inactive status and without a valid access token for longer than 180 days can no longer be retroactively crawled after they are reconnected. Only activities that occurred after the account is reconnected will be saved.

Hearsay can still retroactively crawl disconnected accounts for activities that occurred during the organization’s configured history range as long as the account is reconnected within 180 days.

It is important to consistently monitor user account statuses to ensure there are no compliance gaps, so to find out which accounts are nearing the 180 day disconnection time, please review the Account Directory Report and Profile Snapshot Report.
