If you are experiencing poor call quality while using Relate, like dropped calls or sound delays, here are some tips for improving your experience.
Use a wired connection when using Relate Desktop by plugging your computer directly into your router with an ethernet cable instead of using WiFi.
Enable Quality of Service (QoS) on your router. If you have access to your router settings, turn on QoS and prioritize VoIP or calling applications.
Switch to WiFi instead of LTE/4G data on your mobile device if using VoIP.
Limit other network activity like large downloads, streaming, or gaming during calls.
Close unused apps and browser tabs to free up computer resources for the call.
Check your cell signal and ensure you are in an area with adequate coverage.
Avoid placing calls from obstructed areas, such as basements, elevators, or concrete buildings.
Avoid placing phone calls in very crowded areas, like stadiums.
Restart your mobile device to clear out background activities.
Make sure your device and app are up to date.
Check your voicemail, spam, and call settings to ensure calls are not being inappropriately filtered by your carrier and ensure all phone numbers you interact with have been saved to your contacts.
