Managing a Post Alert

A post alert occurs when an end user posts content natively (i.e. directly from their social account, rather than directly from Yext). Examples of alerts that come in through Supervision include: LinkedIn posts, comments, and reactions (e.g. “Likes”); Facebook posts, comments and reactions; and Twitter posts. When Yext detects alert activities, alerts are labeled low, medium, or high risk in the Supervision Queue.  Compliance admins can take action by dismissing the alert, leaving the post as-is on the social network, or they can delete the post directly from the social network.

Compliance Admins can then efficiently parse through hundreds of compliance items in the Supervision Queue and quickly identify high-risk items with the Risk Meter. You’ll see Risk Meter scores for alerts generated by posts, comments, and private messages. The Risk Meter generates the a risk level and color by summarizing past alerts and the actions taken by an admin in reference of the text and activity from the alert. These rankings are visible when viewing items in the Supervision interface, both in the list view and the item view.

  • Grey - no risk (or risk unknown)
  • Green - low risk
  • Yellow- medium risk
  • Red - high risk

Reviewing a Post Alert

1.  From the Administration view, in Supervision, select the alert item from your list.

2. Review the content of the post, or scroll down to the Details tab to see the classification, the workspace that generated the post alert, and the created/updated dates. You can also click the History tab to see if any actions have already been taken on the item.

3. After reviewing the post, determine if the post is compliant with your organization's compliance policies and do one of the following:

  • If the post alert abides by compliance policies, mark the post as Acceptable. This removes the item from the main Supervision Queue and changes the status from Unreviewed to Acceptable.
  • If the post does NOT abide by compliance policies, click Needs Attention and select one of the following :
    •  Close & Notify - This marks the item as Closed and allows you can send a message to the user about the item. This is useful for items that might require coaching and that must be resolved by the user on the network instead of in Supervision.
    • Close - This marks the item as Closed and does not allow you to send a message to the user. This option is useful for items that are not compliant but not actionable.
    • Delete & Notify - This deletes the content that triggered the item from the network and allows you to optionally send a message to the user about. Then, the item is marked as Closed. This action is not available for all types of issues for every network.

Note: The system can also be configured to auto-remediate posts, comments, and reactions that trigger an alert in the system.
