Admins can save time and effort by taking bulk actions on up to 25 Supervision review items at a time, allowing compliance admins to provide additional comments and context in bulk during spikes of network volume.
To take a bulk action, review items must be of the the same type (i.e. post alerts, post approval requests, profile approval requests, etc.) and the actions that can be taken vary based on the type.
Applying bulk actions
To apply bulk actions to a subset of items, do the following:
1. In Supervision, use filter views and the search bar to find items you want to apply bulk actions to. Items must all be one of the following four types:
- Profile approval requests
- Profile alerts
- Post approval requests
- Post alerts
2. Check each item you want to take action on or select the checkbox at the top to select all.
3. At the bottom, select the bulk action you want to apply. These are all the possible actions you can take in Supervision on bulk items, depending on the type of item and activity.
Assign to (all items) - Assign the review items to a different team's queue.
Acceptable - The item is OK as is and doesn't require further action.
Needs Attention - The item requires one of the following types of actions:
- Deny & Notify (approval requests) - Deny the user from publishing the post or profile change from Hearsay and optionally email them with an explanation.
- Suggest Changes (approval requests) - Send the user some recommendations for improvements to their post or profile changes.
- Close (alerts) - Resolve the issue by emailing or providing feedback to the user. This option is used to resolve issues with content that already exists on the social media platform but that you cannot take any direct action on.
- Delete & Notify (alerts) - Remove the content from the social media network. This action is not available in every scenario and is dependent on whether the social media network API allows third party content deletion.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many items can I act on at once?
A: You can act on up to 25 items at once based on the pagination in the Supervision view.
Q: I need to take a bulk action on a much higher volume (e.g. 1,000 items). How can I do that?
A: Please submit a request to support@hearsaysystems.com.
Note: If all alerts are assigned to the new queue, it's important to spot-check the alerts to ensure that they were created as a result of a network update. If the action was taken by the user, then the alert must be moved back as Unassigned so that it can be reviewed by a member of your compliance team.
After segmenting these alerts, Yext is more than happy to assist you with context in order to Supervise these items in accordance with your organization's policy.
