You can hide or mark conversations as Spam to remove it from view indefinitely or until a new text is received. This helps with keeping your Conversations tab organized.
- Hide: Your conversation will be removed from the Conversations tab, and will only reappear once a new text message is received.
- Spam: Your conversation will be removed from the Conversations tab, and will not reappear, even after a new text message is received

Automatic spam filtering for iOS
Versions 26 and later of iOS contain a setting that automatically filters text messages not saved in the user's contacts to a "spam" or "unknown" folder. Time-sensitive messages, like one-time password or transaction alerts, are excluded from this behavior and appear in the main inbox.
If you have trouble with incoming or outgoing text messages being marked as spam or not being received, we recommend you ensure you have added known phone numbers to your contacts and encouraged your contacts to add your phone number to theirs. In addition, use multiple channels to communicate critical information, like messaging and email.
If you have trouble with messages going to spam or not appearing on your device, see Screen, filter, report, and block text messages on iPhone in the Apple docs to learn more about adjusting these settings.
