Desktop Notifications for Relate

If your organization has enabled desktop notifications for your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge), you can receive notifications alerting you when a new text message or phone call is received via Relate. If you receive a call or text while the Relate tab or window is minimized, you can click the notification to open Relate.

Notifications usually appear in the top right hand corner of the browser window.

Note: Make sure that your operating system allows notifications.

Enable notifications in your browser

macOS users:

  1. Click on the apple logo in the top-left of the screen and then select System Settings.
  2. Click on Notifications in the sidebar.
  3. Scroll down the list of applications and select your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.).
  4. Make sure that the Allow Notifications option is turned on.

Windows users:

  1. Select Start, then select Settings.
  2. Go to System, then Notifications & actions.
  3. Scroll down the list of applications and make sure that notifications are turned on for your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.).

Testing notifications

If you skipped enabling notifications when you set up your Relate account, you can still enable them.

  1. In Relate Desktop, open the Account Settings tab.
  2. At the bottom of the page, click Test Desktop Notifications.

Note: If you have already enabled notifications in Relate but aren't getting notifications, you might need to manually go to your browser’s settings to allow notifications. If this is the case, you will not see the option to enable notifications in Relate.

If you aren't getting desktop notifications or can't enable them, it might be because your organization does not allow this functionality. Please reach out to your administrator for more information.
