Product Limitations for Admins in Social

Intent: This document is created in order to highlight some parameters for current usage of the Social Engage Product for Admins

Searching Content:

  • The content library search bar function will search the body of the post, the link headline (if available) but it will not search the link URL, tag, or author.

Signals:

  • LinkedIn social signals are available to LinkedIn Premium account holders (Sales Navigator and Business Plus) only
  • Twitter social signals are available. Please talk to your Customer Success Manager for more details

Profiles:

  • Approval (Profile Content Upload)
  1. If all profile fields are capable of being uploaded via API, profile content will attempt to upload. This upload may take a few minutes to verify, if successful. For more information on which fields are capable of upload via API, please contact your CSM(E).
  2. If only some profile fields are capable of being uploaded via API, a profile content upload attempt will not automatically follow supervision approval. The user will need to enter Social and take action. For more information on which fields are capable of upload via API, please contact your CSM(E).
  3. Social does not track deprecated fields. This information will be surfaced to you and the user but will not appear on the social network itself.
  • LinkedIn:
  1. LinkedIn currently has two “Honors and Awards” fields. Social does not have API access to one of these fields.
  2. Social does not have API access to recommendations given, only recommendations received.

Reports:

  • In order to increase report efficiency, reports are queued to ensure maximum resources are dedicated to each report while it is processing, decreasing the processing time overall. The length of the queue will depend on the quantity and size of reports that are being requested at a given time.
  • Report data takes 48 hours to compile. One will not be able to pull this data until 48 hours after the act

Content Collections:

  • Content Collections are expected to refresh approximately every 12 hours (twice a day).

Deactivation:

  • Workspaces cannot be deactivated through the gray, admin view if multiple users inhabit them.

Supervision:

  • Bulk approval is not possible when there is an outdated item selected.

Lexicon:

  • Terms can be added one at a time within the gray, admin view. Multiple lexicon adjustments are best directed through our Solutions Delivery team. Please send a ticket into support with this request.

Settings Overrides:

  • It is a best practice to click “Reset” when removing a settings override. Unless “Reset” is pushed, the setting will not inherit instructions from regions above. It will instead retain the value entered.

LinkedIn Groups:

  • LinkedIn has reported to us that they are no longer supporting APIs for activity in LinkedIn Groups. Because of this, Social coverage of LinkedIn groups can be incomplete.
