Listings is a Yext offering that allows organizations to manage company information by automatically synchronizing data with various listing publishers, such as Google Maps and Yelp. Social (previously Hearsay Social) customers can synchronize workspace profile data with Listings, saving time spent making listing service updates and ensuring public listings data is compliant.
Note: In order to get this integration, your organization must have both Social and Yext Listings. To learn more about Yext Listings, contact your Customer Success Manager.
Installing the integration
Before installing the integration, collect the following pieces of information:
- Hearsay API key
- Hearsay organization ID
- Yext API key with Entities and Connectors endpoints (read-write permissions)
- A field to match workspaces with Yext assets, such as an email address or a unique reference ID.
- Default Facebook, and LinkedIn URLs to sync to in case the user does not have a social profile for one or more networks. This could be the main social media profile for your company.
When you have the required information, install the app by doing the following:
- In the Yext Console side bar, click Apps, then select Integrations.
- In the search bar, enter ‘Hearsay Yext Integration’ to find the app, then click Install.
- Under Addition Required Information, enter the information you collected prior to starting the installation, then click Authorize.
- Copy the Locations Connector URL and email it to Hearsay at support@hearsaycorp.com and we will finish the setup for you.
After you install the app, you can change the sync schedule, update the field mapping, and edit or remove URL syncs for social media networks.

FAQ
Q: Can the integration sync multiple social profiles on the same network within a workspace?
A: In most cases, the integration only syncs the first social profile listed for each network, which usually belong to the workspace owner. For Facebook, the integration syncs any one of the Facebook profiles listed, which cannot be controlled. If you have a workspace with multiple connected Facebook profiles, we recommend disconnecting the non-owner Facebook profiles or turning off the Facebook URL sync for that workspace.
Q: What information does the integration sync?
A: By default, the integration syncs the following between workspace profiles and the Yext Knowledge Graph:
- Social Links (FB/X/LinkedIn) data from Social to Yext:
- Financial Professional Entities
- LinkedIn URL
- Facebook Page URL
- X Handle
- Address and hours data for Financial Professional entities in Yext to Social:
- Name
- Address
- City
- Region
- Postal Code
- Country Code
- Opening Hours
- Hours updates made in Social to Yext Financial Professional entities:

After installing the integration, you can edit which fields to include in your sync.
