Operational Status Page

The Operational Status Page, located at www.status.hearsaysystems.com, is used to communicate any major issues within the Yext (formerly Hearsay) platform in real-time to program administrators.

How does our status page work?
Our status page is manually operated, which means someone from Support Leadership will update the status page. When Yext experiences a Sev 0, 1, or 2, Support Leadership will create an incident on our status page, which will notify all subscribers who are subscribed to the specific Yext product that is experiencing degraded performance or outage. Support Leadership provides updates ~30 minutes until we are fully recovered. All subscribers are notified of every update. If the outage warrants a postmortem, we will publish that to the incident as well, which is then sent to the subscribers.

How can an admin subscribe to our status page?

Easy! Follow the step-by-step instructions below.

  1. Navigate to https://status.hearsaysystems.com/ or click on Platform Status on the top navigation bar of the Help Center.
  2. Click the teal “Subscribe To Updates” button.

  3. There are three ways to receive notifications. You can either select the email icon for email notifications, the phone icon for text notifications, or the RSS icon for an RSS feed notification. The user must select their method and enter their information.

  4. Once the user selects their preferred method and enters their information, they are brought to a screen to select which Yext products they want to be subscribed to. The user can select all, one, or any number in between. It would make the most sense for the user to subscribe to the products that they use. For example, if they are a Social only customer, there isn’t a need for them to subscribe to Relate and Sites. The user must then click the teal “Save” button on the bottom.

  5. Once they save their selection, they will receive a confirmation via the method they chose. For email subscribers, they will receive an email and the confirmation link must be clicked in order to receive any notifications; it expires after 90 days. Once the confirmation link is clicked, the user is taken back to the status page and that's it! As long as they remain a subscriber, they will receive updates when incidents are posted to the page. For SMS subscribers, they will receive a text message and must reply back with “YES” to subscribe to Statuspage SMS alerts.

For Text Subscribers:

Users can unsubscribe from SMS notifications by replying STOP. (Note: some international carriers don't play nice with sending "STOP" messages, which may require those numbers to be unsubscribed through the UI by a Statuspage admin/team member).
