Enabling Customers to Opt-In on Their Own Using the Share Consent Link

The Share Consent Link is found within the Account Settings page of Relate. This link allows your customers to proactively opt in to text messaging with you. This feature generates a unique URL for your Hearsay Relate number, allowing clients to initiate the consent process without you having to manually send an initial opt-in request.


Locate Your Share Consent Link

You can find your unique link within the Hearsay Relate application:

  1. In the side menu, under Conversations, click Message & Call.
  2. Navigate to the Account Settings page.
  3. Locate the Share Consent Link section to copy your unique URL.

Recommended Best Practices

Because this link allows you to bypass the manual opt-in workflow, we recommend placing it in high-visibility areas where your customers interact with you digitally, such as your email signature or social media profiles. 

The Customer Experience

When a customer clicks your Share Consent Link, they will be directed to a web form.

  1. The customer enters their First Name, Last Name, and Mobile Number.
  2. Once they submit the form, Hearsay Systems will automatically text them on your behalf.

  3. This automated message includes instructions on how the customer can opt out of texting in the future (e.g., reply STOP).

Once a customer completes the web form, they will appear immediately in your Conversations tab, and you will see a notification at the top of the conversation thread that reads: "Signed up to receive text messages via web form."

Because the customer has already consented, you can begin texting them immediately without sending any additional required compliance language.
