Opt-In Types in Relate

In order to maintain compliance, your organization has the ability to choose between several different opt-in variants:

Disclaimer

Opt-In

Customized Opt-In

Share Consent Link (Attestation via Web Form)

Agent Attestation

Disclaimer

This allows users to send a message at the beginning of their conversation.

The moment the above text message is sent, the agent or advisor can continue to text their contact using their own custom language, and contats can opt out anytime.

Opt-In

This allows users to send the opt-in message asking the contact to consent to messages before the user is allowed to continue texting them.

This requires that the contact first responds "Yes" verbatim in order for the advisor or agent to continue texting them. If any other variation is sent by the contact, Yext will prompt them to respond with "Yes".

Customized Opt-In

This allows users to include a personal note alongside the generic opt-in attestation using the Personalized Opt-In Attestation setting.

Note: The above opt-in variants can be adjusted/customized for specific hierarchies and regions within your organization. This allows you to have different levels of opt-in for your business. The pre-filled variables available for the above opt-in variants are:

  • user name
  • full name
  • workspace name
  • organization name
  • phone number (opt-in follow up only)

Share Consent Link (Attestation via Web Form)

If Relate Web Opt-In is enabled, users can share the consent link to send their attestation via a consent web form. The consent link can be copied from Workspace Account Settings.

Contact does not need to respond "Yes". Yext will send an auto-reply explaining that they can opt out at any time.

Agent Attestation

This opt-in type allows users to attest to receiving permission to text their contact via a one-time acknowledgement flow that asks users to:

  1. Read and accept their organization’s Pre-Texting Terms
  2. Log that they have previously obtained permission to text the contact
After these two steps have been completed, users can send the initial disclaimer message, opt-in message, or customized opt-in message.

To update your opt-in attestation message, settings, or variables, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
