Admins can prevent users from creating new Salesforce records through Embedded Relate’s Conversation widget. When Salesforce record creation in Embedded Relate is disabled, this restriction:
- Blocks responses to messages from phone numbers not associated with existing Salesforce records
- Shows users a message preview from unassociated numbers, but only allows them to mark as spam or hide the conversation
- Only applies to the Conversations widget and doesn’t affect record creation in non-Yext Salesforce interfaces or Web/Mobile
By default, Salesforce record creation in Embedded Relate is enabled. To disable Salesforce Record Creation:
- Go to Yext Admin in Salesforce
- Select Settings in the side menu
- Switch the toggle for Enable record creation.
