There are 2 ways to upgrade the Yext Salesforce managed package, depending on the version you are currently using:
To view your current version -
- In Salesforce’s top-right, click the Setup (gear) icon.
- In the Setup page’s side menu, search for and go to Installed Packages.
- In the Installed Packages table, scroll to the HearsayForSalesforce row. Depending on your version, the managed package could also be listed as Hearsay Applications For Salesforce. Your version number will be listed in the row’s second column.
Upgrade process for versions after v.4.5
If you are on v. 4.5 or later of the HearsayForSalesforce managed package, you can opt to receive automatic push upgrades to the latest version of Embedded Relate managed package in their sandbox and/or production environments. This eliminates manual upgrades and ensures immediate access to new features and bug fixes. Contact your Customer Success Manager with your Salesforce Organization ID, Organization name, and Instance to enable push upgrades.
You can also manually upgrade using the link provided in the release notes or by the enablement team. The link directs you to Salesforce’s package upgrading wizard. Follow the steps as directed by Salesforce.

- Go to Setup → Installed Package.
- Click Uninstall for the Hearsay Applications For Salesforce item.
- Select an option (Yes / No) for saving your package data for 48 hours after uninstallation. Saving your package data allows you to retain application settings made by admins.
- Click Uninstall at the bottom of the page.
If any of the components are still in use during the uninstallation process, an error message will display showing a list of conflicts.
