Deleting and Restoring Contacts on Desktop and Mobile App

Directly from the Hearsay Contacts page, members of a workspace can easily Remove unnecessary or outdated contacts. They also have the ability to Restore any contact's information that they want to bring back into their book of business after it’s been deleted. And in order to save time, they will be able to do these two actions in Bulk via desktop when necessary.

Deleting and Restoring a Single Contact on Desktop

  1. A workspace member can Delete a contact by:
      • First, clicking the contact’s name
      • Then clicking the Trash Can icon in the upper right-hand corner of the contact details window and selecting Delete.

  2. After a contact is deleted, it will no longer show in the general contacts list. If you would like to Restore it:
      • Select the Deleted Contacts option in the Show dropdown menu.
      • Click the contact’s name, and click Restore in the upper right-hand corner of the contact details window.

Deleting and Restoring a Single Contact on Mobile App

      • Go to the Contacts page, and click the contact's name.
      • Click the Pencil icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
      • Scroll down the page, and click Delete Contact.

  2. Once deleted, you also have the option to Restore a contact via the Hearsay Relate app. To do so:
      • On the Contacts page, click the three-line icon at the top of the screen.
      • Filter by selecting Deleted Contacts.
      • Click the contact's name.
      • And click Restore in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
      • To access your Contact lists again, remove the Deleted Contacts filter by clicking Clear.

Bulk-Deleting and Bulk-Restoring Contacts on Desktop

  1. Contacts can be Bulk-Deleted via desktop by:
      • Checking the box next to the contacts.

      • Navigating to Bulk Actions.
      • Selecting Delete Contacts.
      • After completing these steps, a prompt will appear so you can confirm that the selected contacts should be deleted.
      • Once the action is confirmed, the page will refresh, and the deleted contacts will no longer be visible in the general contacts list.

  2. To Bulk-Restore contacts:
      • Start by viewing Deleted Contacts under the Show drop-down menu.
      • Check the box next to the contacts.
      • Under the Bulk Actions drop-down, select the Restore Contacts option. This will restore the previously deleted contacts to the general contacts list.
