Creating Personalized Suggested Posts Using Modification Required Smart Fields

Modification Required fields allow you to insert a visual chip directly into the specific part of a post that requires end-user input. This chip acts as an editable placeholder that appears where changes are needed. After a chip is added, the rest of the post becomes non-editable by default, allowing you to protect core messaging while enabling personalized input only where appropriate. If desired, full editing access can be granted.

To create a Modification Required post, do the following:

1. In the side menu, click Create, then click New Post

2. in the Post Text box, in the bottom left, click the Modification Required icon (looks like an I).

3. Add instructions for what your users should enter, for example, "Add details about your local office event". Then, click Update.

4. Finish entering whatever other content or attachments you want in the post outside of the chip.

5. Select whether the post is fully editable, or if only the modification required content is editable.

5. Finish selecting the account type, availability, and other post attributes like normal. Then click Suggest Post.

When the user sees the post in their Suggested Post Library, they can click on the highlighted chip area to add the requested content. See Personalizing a Library Post that Requires Modification for more details on the user workflow.
