As an administrator, you can create and suggest video content for your organization. Our publishing tool will provide you with the video specifications for each social network.
Create a Video Post
- In the Administration view, click Create > Suggested Posts > New Post
- From the publisher window, hover your mouse over the Video icon.
3. Click More Information to access all the Video Specifications Per Medium. The video specs are:
Facebook
File type: MP4 or MOV
Maximum file size: 4 GB
Video duration: 1 second - 241 minutes
Ratio: 16:9 (horizontal) or 9:16 (full portrait)
Resolution: 120 x 120 pixels, suggested at least 1080 x 1080 pixels
Frame rate: maximum 30fps
Video captions: Optional, but recommended
Video sound: Optional, but recommended
Video settings: H.264 compression, square pixels, fixed frame rate, progressive scan and stereo AAC audio compression at 128 kbps+
Video thumbnail file type: GIF, PNG or JPEG
Video thumbnail aspect ratio: Recommended to use the same as in the video
Video thumbnail file size: 10MB or less
Instagram
File type: MOV or MP4 (MPEG-4 Part 14), no edit lists, moov atom at the front of the file
Maximum file size: 1 GB maximum
Video duration: 3 seconds to 15 minutes
Ratio: 0.01:1 to 10:1, 9:16 recommended
Resolution: maximum 1920 pixels wide
Frame rate: 23-60fps
Video captions: not supported
Video sound: Optional, but recommended
Video settings: Audio codec: AAC, 48khz sample rate maximum, 1 or 2 channels (mono or stereo). Video codec: HEVC or H264, progressive scan, closed GOP, 4:2:0 chroma subsampling
Video bitrate: VBR, 5Mbps maximum
Audio bitrate: 128kbps
Video thumbnail: Preview frame (defaults to the first frame)
LinkedIn
File type: MP4 or MOV
Maximum file size: 5 GB (minimum 75 KB)
Video duration: 3 seconds to 8 minutes
Ratio: 1:2.4 - 2.4:1 (Vertical videos are cropped)
Resolution: 256x144 to 4096x2304 pixels
Frame rate: 10fps - 60fps
Video captions: not supported
Video sound: Optional, but recommended
Video settings: H.264 compression at 192 kbps - 30 Mbps. Audio codec: AAC, MP3, or Vorbis
Video thumbnail file type: GIF, PNG or JPEG
Sites
File type: MP4 or MOV
Ratio: 1.91:1 recommended
Video captions: SRT format supported
Video sound: Optional, but recommended
Video settings: H.264 compression recommended
Video thumbnail file type: GIF, PNG or JPEG
Video thumbnail aspect ratio: Recommended to use the same as in the video

4. Click on the Video icon and select your file to upload. After the file upload is complete, fill out the additional post information and click Suggest Post to add it to your library now or on the date you selected. If you aren't ready to add it yet, click the down arrow on the Suggest Post button and select Save as Draft.
