Over the weekend, Hearsay captured a large number of errors returned by LinkedIn during the publishing process.  For some users who were publishing content to LinkedIn from Hearsay, they might have encountered the following error message “There was a problem posting to LinkedIn. Please try again later or contact about content code xxxxxxxx.”  If this error occurred during the publishing process, Hearsay will first try to republish, but if the error continues to occur,  the published post will be displayed as “failed” in the content section of the Hearsay application.  

Update 8/4/20:

LinkedIn rolled back a bad production deploy that was the cause of the publishing errors.  Hearsay is no longer logging LinkedIn publishing errors.


Next Steps &/or Recommendations:

Hearsay has escalated this issue to LinkedIn and they have acknowledged that they are experiencing connection errors on their API platform.  Hearsay is continuing to work closely with LinkedIn on a resolution.
